9 May 2012: Ilian Iliev (CEO, CambridgeIP) is a speaker at the 9th International Forum on "Freedom to Operate", held in Frankfurt 9-10th May. The conference focus this year is on New Strategies for Cost-Effective, High Value, Low Risk FTO Assessments, Latest Legal and Regulatory Developments for Successful Opinion Writing . Ilian Iliev will present CambridgeIP's on the topic of 'Latest trends in patent data mining and collaborative patent intelligence - implications for FTO'. 17 - 19 May 2012: Quentin Tannock (Chairman, CambridgeIP) will present at the St Petersburg International Legal Forum in a session with Boris Simonov (Head of Rospatent), Igor Drozdov (Vice-President of Skolkovo Foundation), Raimund Lutz (Vice-President, European Patent Office), Teresa Stanek Rea (Deputy Director, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office) and other leading patent industry figures. 28 May - 1 June 2012: Barcelona Spain, Quentin Tannock (Chairman, CambridgeIP) will present at Nanoforumulations 2012 on recent patenting trends in the graphene space. Quentin’s presentation will focus on graphene as a nano-biomaterial. Key players and manufacturing techniques will be discussed, and leading examples of graphene nano-biomaterial R&D provided. 12 June 2012: Ilian Iliev (CEO, CambridgeIP) is the keynote speaker at the Wet Tuesday industry event hosted by Pinsent Masons. on 12th June 12. IIian’s presentation is entitled "The changing technology landscape of the water industry : a patent intelligence perspective”. The seminar will be chaired by Mark Lane, Partner, Head of Water Group, Pinsent Masons, with high-growth water technology companies presenting on their innovations. 27 April 2012: Cambridge UK, Quentin Tannock (Chairman, CambridgeIP) will deliver a lecture at the University of Cambridge Centre for Advanced Photonics and Electronics (CAPE) on the graphene patent landscape. Quentin’s lecture will overview the graphene patent landscape, and will focus on photonics and electronics related graphene patent activity. Quentin will also introduce relevant corporate patent strategies and key industry features impacting the development of this fast moving technology space. 10th April 2012: London UK, Quentin Tannock (Chairman) presented at an Advocates for International Development (A4ID) meeting. The meeting, titled ‘Low Carbon for all – how IP models could save the world’ was hosted by Baker & Mackenzie and considered the role of intellectual property (IP) in the international climate change debate. Quentin presented CambridgeIP research into patent ownership of low carbon technologies and discussed emerging IP models which could encourage investments into low carbon technology innovation and technology transfer. 22nd March 2012: Ilian Iliev (CEO) presented at 'World Water Day 2012 Workshop: The role of patent information in supporting sustainable access to safe drinking water' organised by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), in cooperation with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the Global Institute for Water Environment and Health (GIWEH). Ilian presented on both 'Desalination Technologies and the Use of Alternative Energies for Desalination' and 'Water Treatment/Purification Technologies'. 14th March 2012: In Cambridge UK, Quentin Tannock (Chairman) presented a business lecture to Cambridge Network on the topic of graphene. Quentin presented key findings from CambridgeIP’s research into the graphene patent landscape and discussed the implications of CambridgeIP findings for policy makers, businesses and academic researchers. Quentin spoke alongside Prof Andrea Ferrari (University of Cambridge) and Dr Jani Kivioja (Nokia). For more information on the event click here.
12th March 2012 Ilian Iliev (CEO, CambridgeIP) delivered a training workshop on IP strategy and IP Landscaping techniques for early stage ventures for the 2012 Cambridge University Entrepreneurs startups. The workshop was part of CambridgeIP's Outreach Programme, focused on supporting and accelerating the development of UK's young entrepreneurial talent.

22nd February 2012: Quentin Tannock (Chairman) presented prizes and certificates at the Cambridge University Entrepreneurs Awards ceremony in Cambridge. CambridgeIP was a sponsor of 2012's Cambridge University Entrepreneurs competition and provided winners and runners-up with a package of services including access to BolivenPRO.
2nd September 2011: Quentin Tannock (Chairman) presented on ‘Biosimilars: Who to Watch and Why?’ at Bloomberg Industries in London. Quentin presented findings from CambridgeIP research into the biosimilars value chain, IP filings and pharmaceutical product patent expiry trends. For more information about the event, click here.
11 October 2011: Quentin Tannock (Chairman) presented at an Institution of Mechanical Engineers workshop on Nanotechnology in Food and Food Packaging. Quentin’s speech was titled 'Patenting nanotechnology for food: Production, Processing, Packaging and Safety' and covered patent activity in the ‘nanotechnology for food space’, including topical and geographical trends, most influential players and example technologies patented in the last 1-2 years.

12-13 July 2011: Quentin Tannock (Chairman) presented and was a rapporteur at the Innovation and Climate Change Conference in Geneva. Summit organisers the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) said the conference was ‘...a global forum - by and for - leading thinkers, negotiators and entrepreneurs from government, academia, NGOs, IGOs, industry and the public to identify tools, explore strategies and develop global solutions to promote innovation and technology transfer around a pressing global problem’. 26 June to 1 July 2011: Quentin Tannock (Chairman) presented at the NanoFormulation 2011 Conference in Singapore. Nanoformulation 2011 concerns the integration of nanomaterials in formulations. Quentin presented CambridgeIP research into recent nanoformulation and integration trends and will provide delegates with leading technology examples.
9 June 2011: Quentin Tannock (Chairman) presented at NanoMaterials 2011 in London on day 2. CambridgeIP’s research identifies global nanomanufacturing trends in the science literature, together with key players and examples of influential developments. Quentin also presented results from a survey of delegates and other members of the nanotechnology community. Click here to view Quentin’s presentation. 20 May 2011: Quentin Tannock (Chairman) gave a lecture on IP strategy to post-graduate students from several Departments at City University, London. Quentin introduced a range of typical corporate IP strategies using case studies drawn from CambridgeIP’s experience. Students attending the 2 hour lecture included MBAs, business psychologists and other social scientists. CambridgeIP donated a one month free trial of the Boliven.com patent information portal to each of the attending students.
24 Feb '11, London: Quentin Tannock (Chairman) presented at a Future Energy Strategies and Utility Strategy Group joint seminar titled 'The water industry's future'. Quentin focused his presentation on 'Renewable Energy and water treatment'.
6 Dec '10, London: Ilian Iliev (CEO) spoke at Imperial College Business School as a guest lecturer. He presented to a class of 75 MBA students on the role of IP in corporate strategy, with case studies from the healthcare, cleantech and telecoms industries. Many of the MBAs were interested to learn how they can accelerate their entry in growth industries, and how to build relationships with major corporate players. Ilian took the MBA team through case studies covering the NTC vs RIM lawsuit in telecoms, as well as patent litigation in the wind energy industry.
1 Dec '10: Ilian Iliev (CEO) spoke at the ‘Building blocks: how can renewable energy reach its potential?’ webinar. The webinar covered the following topics: renewable energy technology companies and innovation, the role of governments in stimulating new markets, which regions will be at the forefront of technology development and the ways in which government and industry can cooperate to advance a new energy economy.
29 Oct '10, London: Ilian Iliev (CEO) participated in the London Metropolitan Business School Information Exchange Meeting on technology transfer, energy policy, energy projects cooperation and sustainable energy, where he led a discussion on ‘Technology Transfer and Diffusion in the Energy Segment and Impact on Low Carbon Emissions Goals’.
25 October 2010: Ilian Iliev (CEO) will present at the Chatham House for the Licensing Executives Society Seminar "Beyond Copenhagen: The Role of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) in Technology Transfer of Climate Related Technologies". Ilian will present on the topic of 'The Role of the IP Community in Facilitating Low-carbon Energy Innovation and Technology Transfer: Successes, Challenges, Opportunities.
4-5 October 2010: Quentin Tannock (Chairman) presented at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Forum on Intellectual Property and Green Growth in South Korea. Quentin will present two papers at the WIPO Forum on the 'Economics of Green Growth and Incorporating Green Growth Considerations into Innovation Strategies'; and on 'Access to Green Technologies: Patent Information and Patent Landscapes - Current and Future Options'.
23 September 2010: CambridgeIP is presented a Webinar on the topic of 'Advanced Patent-based Intelligence Techniques: Printed Electronics Case Study'. This Webinar covered how a fact-based IP analysis can accelerate your technology market research, partnering and licensing activities. Patents are structured, comparable and information rich - these features enable companies like CambridgeIP to efficiently provide clients with critical business intelligence.
9-11 June 2010: CambridgeIP presented at the NanoFormulation 2010 conference in Stockholm, Sweden. This international conference will be on the topic of 'Integrating Nanomaterials in Formulations', the scope of the conference is to 'present new results in research, development and applications of innovative formulation technologies where nanomaterials play an essential role'. 1 June 2010: CambridgeIP presented an online Webinar on the topic of 'Gaining Market-Technology Business Intelligence'. The webinar reviewed case studies on how to obtain market-technology business intelligence facts to drive strategic decisions, patent portfolio and company growth. Speakers: Mark Meyer (N. 13th-14th May 2010: Mark Meyer (North American Development Manager) attended the UAMS Bioventures Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas. This was a private equity roundtable meeting with over 25 biomedical companies to discuss capital funding and technology licensing opportunities.
6 May 2010: Quenting Tannock (Chairman) presented at BIO 2010 in Chicago, USA on the topic of 'Fact-based strategy development: Accelerating your out-licensing'. Speaking on case study examples from the Inhalers sector and discussing Inhaler Related Evolution, Regulatory Impact and Emerging Innovations.
